Fresh Fashion for Fall

Fresh for Fall:
Fall is right around the corner which means that it’s time to start focusing on your new season wardrobe. Make it easy by focusing on a top trend, the stylistic return of enticing decades like the Romantic 50’s, the Sophisticated 70’s and Minimal 90’s. Flawlessly shift your look into the colder weather with great pieces from designers and brands all at extraordinary prices from eBay Fashion.
Designers like Isabel Marant, have embraced this feminine decade.
·         A net skirt under a vintage dress gives volume and a bit of drama.
·         Add some cozy to your chic like this big fisherman’s cable knit by Top Shop.
·         Cinch the waist with a skinny belt by J. Crew. It’s this season’s magic ingredient.

The 70’s were also a very elegant era. This season, the focus is on sophisticated refined looks.
·         Choose a knee-length boot by Lanvin with a block heel and a wider ankle for a more retro feel.
·         Be sure to find a skirt, like this by vintage Halston that falls in the right place. Length is key.  A little sliver of knee between your boot and your skirt looks right for now.
·         A sophisticated neutral palette of creams, browns and caramel screams luxury.

Can you believe that the 90’s are already 20 years old and officially considered vintage? Visionaries of that era like Calvin Klein and Helmut Lang created the minimalist look. Embrace the return of less is more.
·         Look for a high buttoning single-lapel jacket like this one.  Nothing says chic like camel.
·         Wear tailored flat-front slim black pants by Zara.
·         Button your shirt, like this one by Uniqlo, to the top to keep the lines clean and minimal.

WHO’S NEXT and PREMIERE CLASSE January 2015

The date is set. The next edition of the WHO’S NEXT and PREMIERE CLASSE trade shows, will take place from Friday 22nd to Monday 25th January 2016 at Porte de Versailles.  In the midst of its extensive renovation work, the Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles is keeping its doors open for events. This ambitious modernisation project aims to strengthen the role that Paris holds as tourism market leader with regards to international business.  The first phase of the renovation concerns halls 1 and 7, the main entrance and the central walkway with the creation of travelators between hall 3 and 4.   In line with this situation, WHO’S NEXT and PREMIERE CLASSE are having to evolve and transform. The areas are being rethought, reworked, to offer a more fluid experience, a clearer display of the trade shows’ offer.  By joining forces with Studio GGSV (Curator of the Saint-Etienne Design Biennial 2013) the trade shows guarantee a quality setting and optimal space layout. The plan is se

Too Many Fashion Blogs

Is it possible that the world currently has too many fashion blogs? Obviously I understand that fashion is the most interesting subject matter in the universe, but why does everyone wish to blog about it. Although I have not yet completed an official count, I estimate approximately six zillion may be in existence. Here are a few reasons that may possibly contribute to the over population of style relevant blogs: Fashion blogs can make bloggers money (advertising, affiliate programs, etc). Fashion blogging is a creative process. Fashionistas are creative people; it makes sense that they enjoy writing. Fashion bloggers are tired of reading opinions from other people and wish to express their own opinion. Although it is embarrassing to admit, I contribute to several but do NOT derive much of an income for my efforts (yes, this is maybe because I do not write well…). Therefore, I do not think financial gain is the primary reason that the world has to

Fashion Goes in Cycles

They say that fashion goes in cycles.  What is in fashion this year will be out of fashion next year. However, clothing that may have been in style ten years ago, can potentially be next season smashing trend.  Due to the the cyclical nature of the apparel industry it is important for designers as well as consumers to monitor past styles as well as currently trending designs.  One way to do this would be to occasionally view old fashion articles in magazines, newspapers, websites, and obviously on blogs such as this one.
