In all honesty, I do not shop with coupons as often as I should.  Essentially, shopping with coupons is like getting money for free.  The key is to buy items that you were already planning to purchase.  The retailer has the advantage when you buy something that you do not need.  However, if you are shopping already, and you know what you want to purchase, you may as well use a coupon if one is available.  Obviously, the product that you are planning to buy is not always available.  But it can't hurt to check before you shop.
