Boutiques, Activewear Retailers, CMC, Shape Tradeshow March 2015

The Fall 15 Los Angeles Fashion Market took place at the California Market Center (CMC) from March 16-19. CMC Showrooms and exhibitors from SELECT Better Women's and Contemporary Tradeshow, TRANSIT LA Shoe Show, and SHAPE Athleisure and Lifestyle Tradeshow reported new accounts opened, as well as steady traffic from buyers and companies placing orders for immediates.

Attending retailers included Kitson on Robertson, Just Fab, Fred Segal, LF Stores, Lulu's Fashion Lounge, Modcloth, Shopbop, Red Balloon, M Fredric, Gisele Tune, Revolve Clothing, ASOS, Seven 7 Jeans, Wet Seal/Arden B, Apricot Lane, Atelier Femme, Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Wilshire, Wynn Las Vegas, Zulilily, Isetan Dept Stores, Forever 21, Brentwood Country Club, Marshall Retail Group, Ambiance Stores, Evelyn & Arthur Stores, Sugar Stores, Suo, Tootsies, XTC on Melrose and many more.

"This was the best I have ever done at SELECT," says Leslie Francesca, owner of Northern California based jewelry company. The line features handmade druzy gemstone pieces and has become a quick SELECT favorite among retailers and resorts across the country. "I wrote more orders in the first two hours on day one than last market and saw many out-of-towners including a great boutique in Nebraska and a large resort in St. John."

The debut of SHAPE Athleisure and Lifestyle Tradeshow was also a success. While many exhibitors were busy writing orders, others were gaining exposure and creating relationships with gym owners, athleisure magazines, and lifestyle boutiques.

LA Yoga Magazine, Grit Cycle, Tuscon Racquet & Fitness Club, Glamour Fitness, Soho Yoga, Utopia Salon & Spa / Blue Yoga, Simply Sporty, Yoga Booty Ballet, Yogaworks, Athlelsure Inc/ Aba Sun Diego, 27 Fit Athletics, For The Love Of Yoga, and Fitwear Boutique were just a few of the names of those who attended the debut show.

"We had a really great first show," says Megan of SQN Sport, a luxury active wear brand from Idaho. "We opened 10 new accounts and are excited to return to the next show in June."

Dates for Fall II/Holiday 15 LA Fashion Market are Monday-Thursday, June 8-11, 2015.

What is Size XO Fashion

What is size XO fashion ? OK, it is possible you have never heard of size XO.  It is also possible that size XO does not exist or never has existed.  Well, the fact of the matter is that I am fairly sure size XO does exist.  I was on facebook last night and on the Fashion Bug page someone was asking why Fashion Bug charged more for size XO then they did for size XL.  The lady writting the post mentioned she measured them and they appeared to be the same.  Anyway, I tried to research the size and did not find much at all.  It is my understanding (possibly and incorrect understanding) that size XO clothing was created for larger size women in the same manner that size zero was created for smaller size women.  It is very possibly simply a "vanity" size. OK, here is how Fashion Bug explained the size, " The sizes XL and OX are in fact different. An OX provides more room in various areas of the garment such as the body, armholes, sleeve length and shou...

15|FIFTEEN Premium Denim Brand for young edgy women

15|FIFTEEN , a premium denim brand for young edgy women, has just announced the launch of its Fall 2013 collection. Born in Los Angeles, California on 1515 E. 15 th Street, 15|FIFTEEN 's mission is to make the world of premium denim accessible to trendsetters across the globe. 15|FIFTEEN was inspired by the country's two major fashion centers - its hometown, Los Angeles, and New York City. The creators of the youthful denim line noticed that fashion forward styles seen on the streets of these sister cities were rarely made available to a younger audience. The company decided to bridge the gap by offering on-trend denim for the junior market at a reasonable price. " The drive for the 15|FIFTEEN line is to provide our customers with the look, styling, and quality of contemporary denim, but at a better price. From the packaging, attention to detail, and fit, to the marketing, public relations, and branding initiatives, 15|FIFTEEN will be a ...
